Regarding appropriate use of resources, the beauty of Permaculture is its
ability to foster such discussion, without hard and inflexible rules. It all
comes back to the NOSE principle, which allows an appropriate solution
relevant to the particular situation.
May I quote Bill Mollison and Reny MIa Slay in "Introduction to
Permaculture" (1991), 1.6 Using Biological Resources, p16:
"By all means use carefully what is available, use it for the best possible
reason, and develop alternatives as fast as possible"
