- Subject: [nafex] Plum Grafting / Budding
- Date: Tue, 22 Mar 2016 10:34:41 -0400
Greetings All -
Last year I attempted to graft 6 Plum Rootstocks to 6 varieties of plum; 0
takes.
This year the Rootstocks are doing well and I have a fresh batch of scions.
Does anyone have any *tricks* for successfully grafting Plum on an
established seedling? Whip? Splice? Tight or loose binding? I plan to bud
as well as a safety net.
I also have 3 bare Rootstocks. Tips for these would be appreciated as well.
Thanks All-
-Pete
