Do any of you have any experience with Mexican Plum P. Mexicana? It is
supposed to make delicious jelly and can get quite large - up to 40 feet (I
am sure primarily in the southern states), although you have to wait for the
fruit to drop before it is fully ripe. It sounds like a really nice tree that
might be really good for wine or jelly? According to the plants database, it
can be found in South Eastern SD, Iowa and Eastern Nebraska, so some strains
may be quite hardy.
