I have donkeys, maybe they are using minis.. I would not trust a tree to
them.

Hogs are good for rooting up the soil also. Around here they ring them to
keep them from doing too much rooting.

Turkey Ridge uses hogs then follows with chickens & then burros. Branches
in their orchard seem to be at pretty typical heights ....
