Shagbarks & Pignuts grow everywhere here in zone 4 Wisconsin.
Wondering if Shellbarks will...
I don't know - the USDA Silvics map show shellbark in the southern tiers of
counties in MI, IA, about mid-state IL, and northern IN - but none in WI.

I suppose that if you could get some seednuts or seedlings from far-northern
origin trees, they'd be your best bet.
