I need some advice. Do the American persimmons require a male pollinator? I have Early Golden and also a Rossayanka (which is a cross between American and Asian.)
I'm reading different things. Some people have said Rossayanka fruits perfectly well without a male. Other places are saying the American persimmons must have a male (which means taking up space for a tree that produces no fruit.)
Any experience with these?
Does anyone have Rossayanka? I've also seen some comments that its fruit setting may be more susceptible to late frosts than either American or Asian persimmons. That's a big concern here. Any experience with it?
Thanks!
Regards,
Jay
