Mark and Donna,
No, we don't sulfur every year.  Just the first 5 years and whenever (maybe 5 years after) the plants showed the need thru chlorosis.  Hector

Hector,
Knowing your limestone rich valley, rabbit eyes must not be so fussy. It also speaks to the fact that blueberries can handle more calcium and a higher ph as long as there other mineral needs are met. That being said, I know you must add sulfur or other amendments.

Mark,  Hector has to add sulfur every year.  All the limestone that's washed down into his bottomland makes for a much more balanced soil than what's up on the acidic Highland Rim overhead.  Everything grows much better down there, but apart from the blueberries there's a fairly bad frost pocket effect.  And the air circulation is nil, the sun doesn't dry things quickly because it comes over the ridge so late in the day.  There's no way to win in the fruit game.  Donna
