I don't get it, either. I see all sorts of juices advertising Acai, and a lot of "natural" brands of prepared foods are now colored with Aronia. I avoid both of them, as I don't care for the flavor. I'll sometimes buy something colored with Aronia, but I almost always prefer the version that was colored with artificial food dyes. Aronia has a slightly astringent taste (that's not quite right, but I'm not sure how to describe it) that's strong enough to notice in foods where it's used for a coloring agent.
