Recently stumbled upon information about a Boston startup Harvest Automation
developing robots to help growers move to move pots with plants around in a
greenhouse or field.
Check out this article with video:
http://www.boston.com/business/technology/articles/2008/08/31/robots_on_the_move/
>From the article:
"This is the sort of work that happens in thousands of commercial nurseries
around the country: arranging potted plants in a field or greenhouse and then
moving them to give them more room to grow."
The article is relatively old - almost 2 years ago. They are probably far
further along their development considering that two years ago they already
had a working prototype, and recently they got some financing.
Enjoy,
Andriy
