The muscat flavor of Jupiter isn't as pronounced as in some other muscats. On a scale of 1 to 10 I'd rate it about a 6 or slightly higher. I have several 9s and 10s in my material. Early Muscat, Muscat Hamburg, and Orange Muscat, for example. NY Muscat, rated about 8 1/2, is about as strong as most American hybrid grapes. So far, at least. New ones are in testing.

Thanks for this explanation, Lon. I was confused about that, myself.
I've got a Jupiter grapevine, and although the grapes were tasty last
year, I didn't notice anything particularly different about them. Of
course, for me to notice, it would have to be REALLY different.
I've never eaten a muscadine grape, so I've got no clue there. I guess I
just assumed that "muscat" meant "the flavor of muscadine grapes."
Foolish of me.
Thanks again,
