Jupiter is a seedless MUSCAT grape. Muscat is a special flavor/aroma in bunch grapes and though muscat and muscadine sound similar, there is no relation between the two.


Thanks for this explanation, Lon. I was confused about that, myself.

I've got a Jupiter grapevine, and although the grapes were tasty last year, I didn't notice anything particularly different about them. Of course, for me to notice, it would have to be REALLY different.

I've never eaten a muscadine grape, so I've got no clue there. I guess I just assumed that "muscat" meant "the flavor of muscadine grapes." Foolish of me.
