Interesting Donna.
I heard a forecast in November for above average precipitation and below average temperatures in the Southeastern US due to the El Nino pattern. I had trouble believing low temps. at the time as we had a warm (and wet) October and early November. I am a believer now. We have had a week of night time temps. in the teens, daytime temps. in the 30s.

I found a newspaper article from Oct 9 that we have put away for future
reference. It said homeowners will be pleased this winter because not only
are fuel prices down, but the official prediction was for mild weather this
winter. It was just too good to burn, despite the nightly lows around 9-12
F that we've been having. Donna
