Hi Doug,

It was actually in Ken's catalogue that I saw these being advertised. He classes them as Z3, hardier than Stella and Lapins (Z5). I've tried e-mailing hi for some more info but I haven't heard back from him yet.

Did you see/taste the cherries?

Caren.

I saw the Biga tree at Ken Taylor's place near Montreal about five years
ago. It was visibly nearing the end of its life (of about twenty years,
i was told) in zone 5. I would say that planting it in an area any
colder would have to involve considerable optimism about a lucky run of
mild winters.

Not sure if I already asked this question but does anyone have any
experience with a Biga or Binga cherry? They are meant to be hardy
sweet cherrys for zone 3.

Also, does anyoneknow which is the sweetest or the U of SK sour
cherries. I have Carmine Jewel ad Crimson Passion but I am thinking of
adding a couple of others, maybe Valentine.

Thanks,
