What I've been calling a clove-currant for years, doesn't have thorns but the
deer don't browse it. Deer don't seem to slow down the very thorny
gooseberries which grow wild in the woods. Jostaberry got destroyed by deer.
Blackberries I don't recall ever seeing damage on, and raspberries do
occasionally get nibbled on, but I think it has more to do with the deer
keeping a trail open (either by intent or by default from browsing, I don't
know.)

I'm making my garden plan now, and hoping I won't have to hide all the
good plants behind the deer fence. Can I get some advice on whether or
not these plants are reasonably deer-proof?
Thorny plants:
raspberries
blackberries
clove currant
black currant
Non-thorny plants:
maypop (which I've never seen, but the catalogs claim it's hardy here.)
pawpaw
Last year, I was surprised that the deer loved eating my tomato plants,
but left my basil, rosemary, thyme, and various alliums alone, so
there's no accounting for taste.
