Opuntias
A folk in the fruit over a gas burner works well to burn off thorns you can
also peel them. All prickly pear fruit that I have tasted including in the
southwest and candy or syrup made from them was quite bland. I didn't have
any opportunity to taste homemade version so they made have been too diluted
with sugar or coprn syrup.
