How often did you apply the Pyola and Neem for the beetles? To be
effectively repellent, Neem would have to be applied every 5 to 7 days.
Pyola should work on contact, but doesn't persist long, and would also need
to be reapplied. K+ Neem, insecticidal soap/Neem combination, will kill
other beetles on contact, and might work for the red leaf lily beetle.
Spinosad insecticides are an organic control that is reported (by University
of Massachusetts) to control the larva.
And there's always hand-picking; place a white sheet under the plants before
you shake the beetles free. They land on their backs and blend in with the
soil - the sheet will make them easier to see.

Hi, about the Gardens Alive stuff-
I use the Serenade to fight fire blight and peach leaf curl. I think it
works great on Peach leaf curl when it is dry long enough to spray. This
year it has rained 21 out of 23 days, we got a dry spell going - Sunday to
Tuesday night this week. Serenade worked better than Neem and a dormant oil
sulfur blend labled for peach leaf curl that I have tried. Organic is a
quest, but I will do what I need to- to get fruit or flowers.
I tried pyola & Neem, neither worked on red leaf lilly beetle. I had to
go to Sevin.
The apples and pears look ok with serenade - no fire blight blackened
limbs or shoots.
I tried their pre emergent weed blocker for lawns- the pigeons ate all
of it - corn based- or it didnt work at all..
My peach trees loved their kelp product, and all the trees liked their
buildup formula for fruit trees.
I tried milky spore for beetles and grubs 7 yrs ago- I think it worked
ok , we havent had to treat for lawn grubs since.
Hope this helps,
Dianne Stephany in Rochester, NY, zone 5 - 88 degrees today!
