   The Arctic Raspberry, Rubus triflorus, that is native to Minnesota 
thrives best when sheltered from the mid-day sun and where it receives only 
early morning and late afternoon sunlight.  Most grasses and other weeds 
cannot tolerate such conditions and I frequently see R. triflorus in a niche 
of its own.
