After I tried putting peach pits in the fridge a few
times with similar results, now I just plant them in a
well marked row in the garden where they sprout at the
right time the following spring. When I took
mid-winter pre-sprouted peach pits and potted them up
on a very sunny windowsill they grew okay, but never
put on nearly as much growth in a year as the ones
that started growing in the spring undisturbed in the
garden.
