- Subject: [NAFEX] Mulberry grafts

I was thinking to do some mulberry grafts as well. Does anyone else have
comments or suggestions? An old Pomona suggested whip and tongue with the
whole thing bagged with a damp paper towel inside and replacement of the damp
paper towel as needed. A grafting book suggested a sprig graft which seems
to be a bark graft with small scion wood. A MidFEX friend in Illinois said
they should be done when the scion was just starting to open it's buds and he
used a simple splice graft, no tongue.
