Thanks! That sounds like what I have. That's not worth keeping, so I'll dig it out when I get around to it.
I prefer own-rooted roses, to, and that's what I buy, but this one was a gift, and I planted it late enough in the year that rooting a cutting wouldn't have been an option even if I'd thought of it.
