I believe Seckel originates from Pennsylvania - that suggests that it is suited to your climate -

I really like the sweetness and the crispiness of the Seckel pear, i'm not sure how well does it preform in our climate. Is it like an average pear as far as disease resistance?
I'm also looking for some scionwood if anyone has it, and would like a trade.
