Tanis,
Yes. I have used it in one instance with good results. This is another use
of parafilm which I have tried and found helpful. You have to find the
damage tree as soon as possible and cover it with a wide band of parafilm
and hope for the best. Instead of drying out, the tree is able to make scar
tissues.
