how much stretch I leave in it. I think it gets brittle on colder mornings.
I wrap my grafts with parafilm, then wrap with splicing tape. This keeps the
graft area from drying and solves the splitting problem.


I had trouble with parafilm splitting, too. It's really easy to handle, sticks to itself really well, and holds the parts of the plants very nicely. But some of my bud grafts died after they started to grow, because the parafilm split before they had completely healed and they dried out. I think next time I'll use the parafilm, but then wrap loosely with a bit of plastic produce bag or something.
