Reveland,
I agree, Chestnut is excellent for fresh eating. Siberian crab is too.
I have 30 different crabapple trees, but only these two are good for fresh eating.
The Fruit Berry and Nut Inventory Third edition calls Chestnut a crab, but lists it with the apples whereas Siberian is listed with the crabs.
