I have tasted a number of black current varieties fresh. I find Ben Sarek to be good to nibble on when fresh.

Hello All,

I was disheartened that somebody labeled blackcurrants as having a “cat pee” flavor.  How many people have been turned off to a fruit that tastes nothing like cat urine?  Although I have never tasted cat urine, others may have.

Blackcurrants are GREAT!  Some people may not like them, but that is totally subjective.

Experiment, try things out yourself.  That is the whole point of NAFEX.

Later,

Tom
