My dictionaries list this use of “Oxheart”
as meaning any of a number of large, sweet, heart-shaped cherries. I
found a reference to an heirloom oxheart cherry, Belle of Santa Fe – but no
sources that specifically call a specific variety “Oxheart.’ ~ Stephen From:
