I know of no variety called an oxheart cherry, but there are many
heart-shaped cherry varieties. In fact many of the commonly grown sweet
varieties are considered to have heart shaped fruit. I believe Stella and
Bing are both described as heart shaped fruit.

Subject: [NAFEX] Oxheart Cherries

Hi,
I have been on this list a while but lurking, trying to absorb a small
part of all of the knowledge you people have to share. My mother is in
her 80's and talks about an Oxheart cherry that they ate when she was a
little girl. I have searched the internet and can find no references.
Does anyone know if the is the description of the fruit, or an actual
variety, or where I might find more information?
Thanks,
Cliff Barley
