My citrus is actually on my back porch which is also a northern
exposure. When I bring them in (zone 6b) they are right inside on the
other side of the sliding glass door.

I've always read that they need more sun than northern exposure, but I
had over 30 mandarins on one (5 ft.) tree last year (and sadly threw it
into alternating fruiting b/c the fruit should have been thinned...)

Epsom salts are applied 1 tsp. per gallon of water.

I have a number of citrus in pots. They were looking sick after spending
the
winter indoors under lights. I have been trying to bring them back to
health
around the yard with various amounts of direct sun. The place they seem
to
like the best is on the north side of the house in the shade. Lots of
growth
and good color. That doesn't make sense. I wonder if they would like
some
epsom salts also.
