Can Wax Paper bags be used instead? I'm wondering if I can bag my grapes as well. Grapes are normally infected by black rot wich is common in humid climates. Doesn't bagging cause exessive moisture on fruits?

Someone on the Gardenweb said that they have used disposable nylon footies the past five years to cover apples, peaches, and pears with great success. She used a twist tie to secure them. The complete thread, which references NAFEX experimental plastic bagging, is below. The nylon bagging is towards the end.The only place I have found these on line is below...$10 for 144.I'm going to try some to see if they work for my area for plums and peaches. I like the fact that the nylon material will stretch, which may allow bagging a group of plums and the nylon will just stretch as they grow.I think the organza bags I started to use this year may not be the best..they may be too porous, allowing bugs to spear the fruit through the bags. Only time will tell...NateAndover, MN zone 4
