I have found supermarket strength (about 6%) vinegar quite effective against weeds, especially grasses, and especially if a tablespoon of canola oil and a tablespoon of liquid soap are added to each gallon. Efficacy seems to depend to some degree on weather conditions, the mix becoming more effective in hotter weather.

I have a question re: 10 % vinegar to kill grasses.  Did you use regular
vinegar and then dilute 50-50 to get the 10% or what ratio?
AK,
'Regular' vinegar is 5% - if you diluted it 50/50,  you'd have a 2.5%
solution.

Sounds better and cheaper than Roundup; no idea re: Round up on dormant
grass.  I always did it on growing grass.
Thank you.
