Good questions, Ginda. Answers as follows:
1] I'm going to plant some pumpkin seeds in the compost to grow pumpkin
seeds. Pumpkin seeds are high in zinc. I can expect the pumpkins to want
zinc in the soil.
2] The U.S.A. diet in general is short in zinc. I would much rather have my
plants take up the zinc and eat the plants as food rather than myself taking
zinc mineral directly. Minerals as food can be absorbed much better in some
cases than minerals taken directly.
3] I'll be consolidating two large i.e. 4' tallx5' longx4'wide compost piles
into one in april turning both over to become one.
