Avocados, as long as you don't expect the tree to fruit. There is even a
book called "The Avocado Pit Grower's Indoor How To Book" by Hazel
someone-or-other that I had as a kid.

If you need fruit. Try alpine strawberries. They're not too tough from
seed. They're hardy, and they fruit for most of the summer.
