The book "Plants for a Future" by Ken Fern mentions
this fruit in a very favorable way.

"...when fertilized a tiny fruit with a very pleasant
sweet-tasting pulp grows out of each flower. The
overall effect reminds me of a ball with lots of
orange toungues sticking out off it. My wife who is a
botanist and therfore much more technical in her
discriptions, says that it looks like a fig inside
out. I adore eating this fruit, but it would probably
take me a week to eat one meal's worth!"
