I have a bunch in 5 gallon buckets. Very tender, this year's new growth froze back at 30-32 degrees. Lovely trees, very easy to start from seeds. No sign of fruiting after 4 years, tho Im more interested in the trees for their bonsai potential. I can't picture these being hardy to zone 6 let alone zone 5 but maybe there is quite a bit of variability. mIEKAL

I am curious about the potential hardiness of paper mulberry, Broussonetia
papyifera. It is often listed as zone 6 and warmer, sometimes zone 5. Anyone
aware of any unusually hardy specimens? Any opinions on the palatability of
the fruits?
Thanks,
Hal
