I acquired a nice bunch of cold hardy plum scionwood this fall. Today I was about to order a batch of p. americana rootstock and noticed p. salicina ('mandshurica' or p. ussuriensis) for the same price. I remember it being recommeded for cold climate and compatability. Anyone feel p.americana has advantages ? thanks, Del
Thanks for the clay discussion too.
