Hello,

There is plenty of listserv software out there that would support a web
based message archive with search capability. We would just need to pick
the software package that entails all the options we want.

As far as the existing archive goes, that would be more problematic. Yahoo
would not dump it at any rate, it would stay there for a while, it would
just not be as handy. They may be willing to give us the archive, I don't
know, we would have to ask, but then we would somehow have to get that
archive into our own software package, which may be more difficult.

There would be benefits and shortcomings of moving to our own listserv, but
I believe that the benefits outweigh the drawbacks.

I find the lack of control, and the egroup being bought and sold EXTREMELY
annoying and intrusive.

If NAFEX wants to move the listserv to their own site it is a possibility we
may wish to consider..

Regards,
Tom
