Interesting method, Tom.
I've never tried it that way, but will give it a go. Have, in the past,
used glass jars inverted over individual cuttings as 'humidity chambers'.
I commonly prepare a jar of 'willow water', but sticking some fresh-cut
willow twigs in a container of water and use that to water cuttings I'm
attempting to root(in addition to dipping in rooting hormone). Wonder if
the 'natural' rooting hormones secreted by the willow twigs would pass
through the terra cotta pot?
