Hello,
I was looking for infromation on the web regarding the
rooting of Cherry-Plums and stumbled across this article on
Loblolly pine, and their field trials of rooting cuttings,
researching the viability of cuttings based on cutting
length and diameter.
http://www.srs.fs.fed.us/pubs/rpc/2000-07/rpc_00july_05.pdf
They concluded for best rooting and subsequent growth that
Loblolly pine cuttings should meet specific standards. The
single best cutting being 7.6cm (with or without tip bud) in
length, and have a 3mm diameter.
Has anyone seen similar studies in regards to rooting
various fruits, where cuttings are used?
This would be very useful information if it is out there
somewhere.
Thanks,
Tom
