Hi,

Email is a great tool but Pomona via email would be a very large read, and I
don't think that many would avail themselves of it after seeing how large a
read
it is on-line.

It is one thing to sit in a comfortable chair, with a fire in the fireplace
and
leaf through the printed Pomona, and another to do it seated infront of a
computer screen. People would need a large motivation to swap the two
approaches.

I have some fine vision problems, and although I can adjust the font on my
computer for easy reading, I still prefer a comfortable chair for enjoyment
reading (which Pomona is). I leave the computer for technical information,
and
study, as you cannot get that kind of information in "large print" editions..

I would also like to thank the editor of Pomana for using a larger than normal
font and bright white paper in the publication of Pomona. It makes it much
easier to read than most publications.

I can see Pomona uploaded to a searchable database for easier reference, and
location of articles. Possibly the database could have the additional search
capability to locate all articles in the various issues, so you could
reconstruct
an issue online by doing a search on a particular Pomona volume number or
season
year.

This one approach would address a number of peoples suggestions (1: having
Pomona
online 2: being able to search old Pomona articles)

However, I think email Pomona would not be very acceptable to many people. It
would be like getting a huge digest issue of this egroup (which I already
avoid).

Just my opinion.

Regards,
Tom
