Irv your prior post indicated ATV could be used on private property with the owner’s permission. You also need locations where dogs can work off leash. Find a farmer or rancher who at certain times of the year (least likely to impact their agricultural business) will allow a joint training on their larger acreage.

 

Reality is most of the partnering with these two resources is knowledge-based, regarding speed and timing, application of scent theory, etc.  If the resources aren’t aware of how they can partner effectively with others, incident management is probably not aware.

The point is not that ATV’s are restricted here in the EAST but that any resource you cannot train with creates a difficulty in the field.  […]

Irv, if there aren’t more obvious locations locally where training or joint training is allowed, perhaps you can use the successful model used by others around the country. They are connecting with owners of larger acreage for training locations.
