I find BDUs to be the most comfortable. I wear leather chaps over them if I need extra protection.
I am a biker (street motorcycle) and use the same pair of chaps for both uses.
It may not be the ideal set up, but it works for me.

Especially those of you who ride in rough terrain, and in serious winter, what type of pant does your unit wear? Most BDUs are too baggy to be comfortable riding for long distances or in rough brush. English style riding tights rip too easy and don't insulate enough in winter by themselves. Jeans don't make the cut for non-cotton clothing although they are comfy for riding and wear well in brush. Figured I'd get the community response and see how others have solved this problem.
