Dear all,
I believe I started this debate re gaited horses.
I only asked for clarification of the term gaited as this is not a term we often hear in Australia.
Una and T'mi answered my question and I did some research and I am now fully converant with the term gaited....very interesting!
cheers
Linda

As Tomi said, gaited means any gait other than or in addition to walk, trot,
canter/gallop. My go-to source is http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Horse_gait;
it has some slow motion animations and links to other Wikipedia articles with
details. And, if something is not clear, you can ask for clarification on
the article's talk page. You may not get an answer right away, but chances
are good you will get an answer.
