Yes, and employees who volunteer for special duty are a different
kind of volunteer from most MSAR responders.
That said, I know of no public discussion group for career public
safety officers who volunteer for mounted duty. There is a private
group, http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Mounted_Police: according to
its web page it has 120 members and very low traffic.
