Beet pulp is excellent for a horse with Cushings, also there is a med from England that takes a while before you see results. I will see if I can find out the name of the product. Have to call the stable to find out the Vet's name who prescribed it....
 
This was the summer of '03 , how bad we felt for the owner when the blood work came back. After several months on this med the horse's coat was back to normal, and he was able to go back to being ridden daily. He was on beet pulp, an adult pellet feed and a couple flakes of hay. I wish there was a before and after pic of this horse.....
