- Subject: [Market-farming] Spreading Gypsum
- Date: Wed, 24 Oct 2012 09:38:27 -0400
I found an economical source of gypsum, $14
a ton, but am wondering how I'm going to spread it. I have a large
broadcasting spreader but I'm wondering if it would just clog using a powder
like that. Its one of those cone shaped 3 pt hitch things like the ones
they sell at tractor supply. I thought about maybe mixing it with sand to
make it more spreadable and the sand would help improve my heavy clay anyway but
I'm not sure how well that would work either.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
