I haven't tried emitters. You might put two rows of tape on each row of tomatoes and squash, depending on the porosity of your soil (one on each side of the plants). I did that once, but found with my heavy clay I can just run the water longer and soak them thoroughly. I think I will get something heavier than T-tape for raspberries and blueberries for next year on so I can just place it once and leave it.
