Timing plantings throughout the growing season has got to be one of the
trickiest parts of
market farming. For the past few years I have tried, and generally failed, to
get things
going on time for fall harvest of broccoli, cabbages, and other fall crops; I
always seem
to start too late, even though it's blistering hot when I do so. So I figure
I'd better
start things earlier than I have in the past. Is now too early to start
seedlings for
broccoli, for instance? Advice welcome.

I am in Massachusetts, away from the coast.
