Anytime Jen. Just work it into your soil first. Consider it seedbed preparation, then plant. The lime shouldn’t represent any risk as long as its incorporated. It may take a little time before the full effect of the lime on pH takes place, but there’s no reason you can’t begin planting.

Subject: [Market-farming] When to seed after liming

Hello, we just had lime spread on our fields and I was wondering if anyone has any recommendation as to when we can start seeding?  I would have liked to have spread it in the fall but it just didn't happen.  Any suggestions?  Does the soil need time to absorb the lime?  might sounds like a silly question but I'm kinda clueless about lime, thanks
Jen
