I used to use a ~48" tiller on a 25hp tractor. But, only at 1-2 mph
ground speed. It worked well on sandy or pre-plowed ground. Normally
had to make several passes to get full depth of 6"-7" and pulverized
soil. Tines had a short life of a season or two; I judged disking to
be more cost effective and retired the tiller.
