We have used frequent mowing and intensive grazing with horses and cattle to
back ours off over 10 years so that it is almost only existent in the
perimeter fence-lines. It was rampant on our long abandoned farm which sits
on the CT River along the RR. We have used some of the commercial
vinegar-based product for small areas around the house, which has helped
also. We are all very allergic, and I have spent 3-6 weeks with severe
episodes from mowing and weed-wacking - use a scythe or old push-style reel
mower - the engine lawn mowers and weed-wacker units will send fine particles
of oil-laden PI all over everywhere and the mower!
